Protorhabdonella curta

(Cleve, 1901)

Validity of Protorhabdonella curta is doubtful because presence, number (approx. 20), and distribution of striae on lorica wall (main diagnostic feature) may often lead to misidentifications, as these delicate structures actually cover entire wall and are often bifurcated or anastomosed and with levogyrous torsion near oral end, as in Rhabdonella amor? var. indica.
