Genus Parundella

Jörgensen, 1924 emend. Kofoid and Campbell, 1929

Diagnosis
Lorica with upper cylinder and lower cone. Two conspicuous laminae. Differs from Undella in larger size and presence of aboral horn which, in some species, shows wrinkles or striae and short caudal lance. Texture of lorica wall and presence of aboral horn with caudal lance relate this genus to genus Xystonellopsis (see species illustrations). The latter, however, is clearly distinguished from the former by the presence of a well developed skirt.
Arranged in Subgroup 4D (see the page Ti. 15 Classification scheme based on morphologically similar groups of species).

Species treated:

Parundella caudata (Ostenfeld, 1899)
