Diagnosis: Central capsule spherical to somewhat flattened in the direction of the main axis. Astropyle domed, scarcely a third as wide as the central capsule diameter. Parapylae of characteristic form and location. (Figured specimen in process of fission according to Haeckel, 1887)
Diameter: 0.15-0.25 mm.
