(Ehrenberg)
Differs from Dyctiocoryne profunda in that the 3 arms are more slender, longer, and their orientation defines two larger angles and one smaller one. Euchitonia elegans intergrades smoothly with Euchitonia furcata; end members differ in that distal tips of arms taper in Euchitonia elegans (E. elegans/furcata group?, right panel), while in Euchitonia furcata their terminations are club-shaped and more blunt (E. elegans/furcata group?, left and middle panel, respectively). Length of arms (from center of shell): 150-300 µm.
