Spicules stout, four-sided prismatic, of nearly equal breadth throughout whole length, on distal apex truncated, two-edged. Base with large wing-cross. Four apophyses about in middle of each spicule, conical, straight, spinulate, twice to four times as long as basal breadth of spicule. Central capsule opaque, yellow. Length of spicules: 0.27 mm, breadth: 0.014 mm; length of apophyses: 0.05 mm.
