Key character: Propodus of 3rd thoracic leg with three setae of approximately equal length posteriorly, dactylus with setae, carpus with characteristic spine bearing tubercle (Stylocheiron carinatum), upper lobe of eye short and narrow, carapace with high dorsal keel behind eyes (Stylocheiron carinatum 1).
