Length 8-12 mm. Head produced, narrowing anteriorly in males (Eupronoe maculata 1), rounded in females. ART 4 of P I subtriangular, broadened distally; ART 5 broader than ART 4, with posterior margin finely serrate (Eupronoe maculata 2). ART 4 of P II broadened distally; ART 5 broader than 4, distal process narrow-triangular, reaching base of dactyl. ART 2 of P VI less than 1.5 times as long as broad, less than 1.5 times longer than all distal ART combined. Telson with produced top, sharp in males, blunt in females.
