Length to 9 mm. Very like congeners but easily distinguished by characters given in the key. Body more or less slender. Otherwise with characters of genus Primno. Vinogradov et al. (1982) considered Primno johnsoni Bowman, 1978, a junior synonym (large form) of Primno latreillei.
