Lestrigonus macrophthalmus

Length 2-3.5 mm (females, Lestrigonus macrophthalmus 1), 3-4 mm (males). Pereonites I-IV fused in females, I-II in males. Head globular, more than half as long as high, about as long as pereonites I-IV combined. Gland cone bluntly rounded, short, may reach or extend slightly beyond ventral border of buccal mass in females only. MD incisor and lacinia mobilis with about 7 teeth. ART 2 of P I with strong convexity on anterior margin, ART 6 with 1 spine on anterior margin in females, 2 in males. Posterodistal process of ART 5 of P II about half as long as ART 6, ART 6 with 1 spine on anterior margin in females, 2 in males. P III-IV subequal to P V and VII, slightly shorter than P VI. ART 2 of P V-VII moderately narrow (but broader than distal ART), linear. Dactyls of P III-VII long, thin, slightly curved. Telson triangular, with more or less sharp point, in females about half, in males less than half, as long as basipodite of UR III.
