Lestrigonus latissimus

(Bovallius, 1889)

Length 2-3 mm (females, Lestrigonus latissimus 2), 3-4 mm (males). Pereonites I-IV fused in adult females, I-II in males. Head about 2.2 times as high as long, shorter than pereonites I-IV combined (may be subequal to pereonites I-III). Gland cone bluntly rounded below, short, not reaching ventral border of buccal mass. MD incisor and lacinia mobilis with 10 teeth. MXP outer lobes slender, with 3 apical setae, 2-4 setae on inner margin (Lestrigonus latissimus 1). ART 2 of P I with pronounced bulge on anterior margin (Lestrigonus latissimus 3), ART 6 with 1 or 2 spines on anterior margin. Posterodistal process of ART 5 of P II about half as long as ART 6, ART 6 with 2 spines on anterior margin. ART 2 of P V-VII strongly expanded distally; ART 6 with axially-directed spine on distal end overlapping base of dactyl medially. Dactyls of P III-VII long, thin, slightly curved. Telson triangular, in females more than half, in males half, as long as basipodite of UR III.
