Vibilia armata

Length 5-11 mm (Vibilia armata 1). Delicate animals. Integument semi-transparent. Head as high as long. Eyes dark, moderately large, especially in males, where they may occupy half of lateral surface of head. Flagellum of ANT I as long as head and pereonite I combined, more or less rhomboid, sharp. ART 5 and 6 subequal in P I, dactyl longer than half of ART 6 (Vibilia armata 3). Posterodistal process of ART 5 of P II reaching base of dactyl. Anterior margins of ART 4-6 of P VI with numerous, very fine, setae; dactyl shorter than half of ART 6. P VII moderately long, reaching distal end of ART 6 of P VI. ART 5 and 7 of P VII subequal; ART 6 narrower than, and 1.5 times as short as, ART 5. Telson triangular, with rounded top, reaching middle of basipodite of UR III (Vibilia armata 2).
