Length 20-25 mm (Paraphronima crassipes 1), rarely to 30 mm (females). Much like Paraphronima gracilis but body moderately more robust. Pereonites I-IV subequal. P stronger, with slightly broadened ART 2. ART 5 of P I less expanded distally than in Paraphronima gracilis. P VII only slightly shorter than VI, or subequal to it.
