Scina spinosa

Length 6-11 mm (Scina spinosa 1). Body robust, smooth. ANT I clearly shorter than pereon. Outer lobes of MXP short, broad, more or less narrowing distally (Scina spinosa 2). Inner lobes 2-4 times as short as outer. P short and strong. Posterodistal parts of ART 3 and 4 of P III and IV more or less concave (especially in adults). ART 2 of P V with both margins serrate; dactyl short, slightly curved (Scina spinosa 3). P VI slightly shorter than V. P VII slightly shorter but more robust than P VI, with strong broad ART; dactyl short, nail-like, curved. Species characters widely variable.
