Length 15-29 mm. Integument weak. Rostrum poorly developed (Lanceola loveni 3). Eyes small. Body with weak dorsal carina. Carina forming small mid-dorsal teeth in pereonites III-IV, pleonites I-III and urosomite I. Distal (small) ART of ANT I free, cylindrical (Lanceola loveni 4). P VI-VII thin, VI slightly longer than V. Hooded dactyls (P V-VII) thin. Telson triangular, sometimes with produced top; top usually sharp (Lanceola loveni 1). Telson 0.3-0.5 times as long as basipodite of UR III.
