Orchomenella distinctus

Birstein and Vinogradov, 1960

Length to 18 mm. Eyes long, flask-shaped (Orchomenella distinctus 1), very pale pink, mostly glandular, ommatidia not evident; about 60 % as high as head. ART 1 of mandibular palp short, subquadrate; ART 2 long, linear; ART 3 lanceolate, half length of proximal ART combined. Epimeral plate III smooth, broadly rounded posteroventrally. Dorsal process of urosomal segment I weakly overlapping next segment (Orchomenella distinctus 2). Endopodite of UR III exceeding length of main (first) ART of exopodite.
