Corolla calceola

(Verrill, 1880)

Pseudoconch oval, transparent, with shallow, broad cavity and blunt anterior margin. Small tubercles regularly distributed, relatively few in number. Aperture more than half of length of pseudoconch. Swimming disc oval, not reaching far anteriorly over pseudoconch. Proboscis short and broad, with two symmetrical tentacles, free from disc over most of length. Mantle gland asymmetrical, with two oblique, completely transparent bands. Right corner of gland is anterior to left corner. Pseudoconch length 40 mm, swimming disc diameter 70 mm.
