Styliola subula

(Quoy and Gaimard, 1827)

Shell transparent, long, tubular, straight, needle-like. Cross-section round. Surface with faint growth lines. In upper 2/3 of shell a grooved rib projecting from aperture rim like cusp, rib twisting slightly, so its position is medial at cranial end but caudal end is displaced left. Posterior shell end pointed, with two consecutive constrictions. Rear angle of shell 11°, shell length 13 mm.
