Diameter typically up to ca. 30 mm, occasionally larger; marginal tentacles typically 20; base of stomach in shape of square-sided cross with right-angled corners and straight sides, and with total of 8 dark pigment spots next to outer corners; the single "hypertrophied" tentacle in exactly same radius as septum between lobes of stomach (i.e., opposite an inner corner of stomach-cross); no papillae on marginal lappets; peripheral radial septa not or hardly diverging at inner ends, and not or hardly extending beyond inner margin of coronal muscle.
