Umbrella 25 mm wide; apical mesoglea extremely thick, terminating in a distinct, sharp knob; manubrium short, circular; gonads oval, on proximal or central halves of radial canals; usually 3 statocysts in each interradial space and 1-2 on either side of the 8 perradial, solitary tentacles.
