8-20 (usually 16) rectangular manubrial pouches. Umbrella up to 62 mm, flat, gelatinous disk, thick and rigid, exumbrella smooth; tentacles long; lappet zone very thin, marginal lappets square, up to 15 (rarely up to 21) statocysts per marginal lappet.
