Umbrella 60-100 mm wide, slightly convex, mesoglea very thick; manubrium wide, with funnel-shaped perradial lobes almost to terminal portions of gonads; gonads along nearly entire length of radial canals, in 10-15 lateral folds on either side, each further divided into 2-5 lamellar folds, not attached to subumbrella; about 300 marginal tentacles and as many cordyli with some few cnidocysts.
