Umbrella 30-40 mm wide, flatter than hemispherical, mesoglea fairly thin; with narrow, elongate, conical gastric peduncle extending well beyond bell margin; manubrium small; mouth with 4 simple, very short upwardly curved lips and folded margins; gonads linear from base of peduncle to almost bell margin; 30-40 marginal tentacles, with or without lateral cirri; up to over 100 small tentacles or rudimentary bulbs each with pair of lateral cirri; with adaxial excretory pores on all bulbs; 50 or more statocysts.
