Umbrella with funnel-shaped apical depression; 3-4 centripetal canals in each quadrant; 16-30 marginal tentacles. Umbrella up to 40 mm wide, 37 mm high, globe-shaped, mesoglea not very thick; manubrium large, broad; mouth with large folded, crenulated lips; gonads interradial forming 8 adradial rows with numerous transverse folds; 16 long marginal tentacles alternating with 16 short ones; cnidocyst knob on adaxial base of each long tentacle.
