Diagnosis: Shell pear-shaped, with 4- to 6-sided pyramidal elevations. Stout axial rods, extend radially as spines with 3-6 (generally 4) short, stout, somewhat curved, diverging terminal branches. Pyramidal bars may also extend as lateral branches at the apex.

Diameter: one whole specimen reported as 4.0 by 5.5 mm.
