Diagnosis: Radial spines about 3 times as long as the smooth tangential bars, distally with about 10 whorls of usually 8 branches with simple small buttons or small crowns of short prongs, proximal half with irregularly arranged, pointed thorns.
Diameter: 1.8-2.8 mm.
