Coleaspis vaginata

Shell ovoid, thick-walled. All twenty spicules of nearly equal size and form, nearly as long as diameter of shell, conical; larger equatorial spicules cylindrical or conical, with three longitudinal keels and up to 6-sided; about one-third longer than remaining 18 conical or two-edged spicules. Crests between dimples of shell-surface serrated, forming truncate conical sheath with crested surface and serrated mouth around basal half of each spicule, with teeth prolonged into short accessory spines. Major axis of shell 0.12 mm, secondary 0.1 mm; length of spicules: 0.08 mm, basal breadth 0.01 mm.
