Skeletal spicules cylindrical inside the lattice shell, conical outside, with tips sometimes wavy; apophyses forked twice to thrice, with 16-24 branches per spicule; these branches bearing accessory needles at all distal ends. Apophysal branches connecting with those of neighboring needles to form lattice shell. Maximum body length: ~120 mm, diameter of sphere: 0.14 mm, spicule length: ~0.60 mm, spicule width: 0.002-0.009 mm.
