Tchang and Tan, 1964

One principal pair of apophyses arising from proximal part of each spicule and participating in formation of lattice shell; more distally along each spicule, one or more additional pairs of opposing, simple or dendroid branches not uniting with one another. Proximal end of each spicule with two opposite principal apophyses. Each principal apophysis with two opposite thin, blade-like branches uniting to form oval or ellipsoidal shell. Branches of principal apophyses irregular, pores on surface of shell also irregular. Spicules two-edged, compressed, all of nearly equal length; in early development two of these spicules longer than others. Myonemes 8-35. Maximum body length: 0.43 mm, maximum spicule length: 0.17 mm, spicule width: 0.002-0.01 mm.
