Clione limacina (Phipps, 1774) antarctica (Smith, 1902)

Body largely transparent, with orange to red pigmentation in tail, tentacles, and mouth organs. Reddish-brown visceral mass visible through body wall. Body robust, with glandular skin. Three pairs of buccal cones of equal size but dorsal pair with bases free from bases of central pair of cones. Median radula plate only in very first rows, lateral teeth simple. Radula formula 3-0-3 to 10-1-10. Body length: 40 mm.
