Cavolinia gibbosa flava

Cavolinia gibbosa (d'Orbigny, 1836) forma flava d'Orbigny, 1836

Shell globular, transparent, with dark brown color patches. Ventral side vaulted, width <70% of length. Lateral spines small and slightly curved caudally. Caudal spine curved dorsally in posterior part. Aperture narrow, with faint hammered sculpture on the ventral surface. Embryonic shell usually present, its junction with rest of shell smooth. Shell length: 5.0 mm, width: 4.5 mm.
