Trunk up to 1.2 mm long, very compact (Oikopleura drygalskii). Buccal glands spherical and small. Gonads adjoining the coil of the gut, hemispherically. Tail with 4 groups of spindle-shaped subchordal cells, musculature fairly narrow.
