Length 2.2-3.5 mm (females), 3.5-4.5 mm (males, Lestrigonus schizogeneios 1). Pereonites I-II fused in males, I-III in females (in very young more, in medium-young fewer, segments may be free). Head about twice as high as long, twice as short as pereon. Gland cone sharply pointed, extending beyond buccal mass in females, pointed but blunter, barely reaching ventral border of buccal mass in males (Lestrigonus schizogeneios 2). MD incisor with 8 teeth, lacinia mobilis with 6-8 teeth. MX I inner lobe with 3 long, 2 short, terminal spines, 1 sub-terminal spine. MX II outer lobe with 1 terminal, 2 sub-terminal, spines; inner lobe with a shorter terminal spine. ART 2 of P I with moderately convex anterior margin; anterior margin of ART 6 of P I with 2, rarely 3 spines in adults, 1 spine in young. Posterodistal process of ART 5 of P II twice as short as ART 6, ART 6 with 1-2 spines on anterior margin. P III-IV shorter than V-VII. P V-VII with moderately broad ART 2 (Lestrigonus schizogeneios 3). Dactyls of P III-VII long, thin, slightly curved. Telson triangular, in females twice, in males more than twice, as short as basipodite of UR III. Associated mainly with jellyfish Phialidium.
