Vibilia robusta

Length to 20 mm (Vibilia robusta 1). The largest species of Vibilia. Integument very dense. Head higher than long. Eyes very large, occupying most of lateral surface of head. ART 1 of flagellum of ANT I not longer than head, with parallel dorsal and ventral margins, anteriorly rounded. Pereon as long as pleon and urosoma combined. ART 6 of P I subequal to ART 5, with convex anterior margin. ART 2 of P II strongly broadened (width two thirds length); ART 5 subequal to 4, posterodistal process reaching only middle of ART 6; ART 6 twice as short as 5; dactyl twice as short as ART 6 (Vibilia robusta 2). ART 2 of P III and IV broadened, posterior margins more convex than anterior; ART 4 subequal to ART 5, ART 6 1.5 times longer than ART 5, dactyl 4 times as short as ART 6. ART 4 of P V and VI slightly shorter than 5, 5 shorter than 6, dactyls 5 times as short as ART 6. ART 2 of P VII with large posterodistal lobe; ART 7 clavate with scales on surface. Telson triangular, with rounded top, longer than half of basipodites of UR III.
