Umbrella 4-11 mm high, bell-shaped, higher than wide, walls uniformly thick; manubrium large, cross-shaped in transverse section; 4 radial canals that continue into 4 compact vacuolated endodermal masses situated above digestive part of manubrium; 80-120 closely spaced marginal tentacles; gonads interradial, mature females often with developing embryos and planulae.
