Diagnosis: Shell triangular-pyramidal with rounded corners, or seldom quadrangular-pyramidal, or triangular shield-shaped. Peristome in shape of a short, wide tube, somewhat widened at the opening, with typically developed basket-shaped peristomal termination. Three long, widely divergent oral spines. Three (seldom 2 or 4) very long, massive, divergent aboral spines.

Length (including peristome): 1.4-2.3 mm.
