Diagnosis: Shell small, spherical, with thick wall. Pores circular to subpolygonal, uniform in size and shape, in symmetrical groups (coronets) of 4-7 around bases of main spines, 1-2 times bar width, bars narrow to wide. Mouth circular to subcircular or elliptical, smooth except for normally distributed by-spines. Main-spines fairly thick, straight, short, about as long as shell radius. By-spines at intersections of surface ridges, length 1-3 times pore diameter, uniform. Surface ornamentation of low flat areas, very irregular and angular, separated by network of low, rounded ridges.

Diameter: 0.35-0.55 mm.
