Spicules four-winged, of lanceolate outline, tapering from broader middle towards two ends. Apex pyramidal. Base with large leaf-star. From four wings arise in basal part (between first and second third of length) twelve triangular apophyses (three from each wing, arranged in crowns). Length of spicules: 0.3 mm, breadth in middle: 0.03 mm.
