Pneumoderma atlanticum (Oken, 1815) souleyeti (Pelseneer, 1887)

Body round, semi-transparent, with numerous glandular tubercles, skin usually pigmented. Visceral mass fills nearly whole body. Wings small relative to footlobes. Head relatively large, clearly separated from body. Median footlobe rather long, lateral lobes well-developed, nearly parallel. Median foot tubercle present. Lateral sucker arms of average length. Eighty suckers on each arm. Most distal suckers smaller than others, sucker stalks normal in length. Lateral and posterior gills present, but rather simple in shape, not fringed. Posterior reduced to small ring with 4 short rays. Hooks short, robust, in slender, deep sacs, about 80 in number. Tentacles extremely small. Jaw consisting of 30 slightly curved denticles. Radula formula: 3-0-3 or 4-0-4. Body length: 6 mm.
