Cavolinia inflexa (Lesueur, 1813) forma inflexa (Lesueur, 1813)
Dorsal side flat, ventral slightly convex; posterior section of shell bending dorsally. Small vault of ventral side ends in transverse groove under ventral lip. Transverse ribs absent on ventral side. Sculpture of faint growth lines present. Lateral spines poorly developed, located well above middle of shell. Caudal spine very long, undifferentiated from rest of shell. Embryonic shell sometimes present; when absent shell closed by callus resembling a rounded embryonic shell. Embryonic shell defined by faint constriction which separates it from teleoconch. Juveniles dorso-ventrally compressed, pyramid-shaped in ventral view, with oval aperture. Shell length: 7 mm, width: 5 mm.
