Small animals. Pereonites I-III fused in both sexes. Coxae fused with pereonites. Head globular, without lateral lobes. ANT I 2-articulate, ANT II 1-articulate but subequal to ANT I in length in females. MD with palp in males, without in females. MXP with broad, rounded outer lobes (Hyperionyx macrodactylus 2). P I subchelate, P II chelate. P III-VII with strong, curved, unarmed dactyl (Hyperionyx macrodactylus 1). P V much shorter than others. Telson very short.
