Monotypic genus for Erenna richardi. A second species, Erenna bedoti, was described by Lens and van Riemsdijk (1908), but was synonymised with Erenna richardi by Bigelow (1911); a procedure followed by Totton (1965). Margulis, 1977a, and Margulis, 1990 believed that there were sufficient reasons to resurrect Erenna bedoti, but here the synonymy is retained and only a single species recognised.
