Length 3-5 mm. Whole animal, including surface of P V and VI (Amphithyrus sculpturatus 4) and UR (Amphithyrus sculpturatus 3), with sculptured cuticle (unique character). Distal process of ART 5 of P II not reaching top of sub-distal denticle of ART 6 (Amphithyrus sculpturatus 1). ART 2 of P V only slightly shorter than distal ART combined. P VII consisting of curved ART 2, 3-5 rudimentary distal ART. Telson triangular, with rounded top, shorter than fused (II+III) urosomite (Amphithyrus sculpturatus 3).
