Body hemispherical to lenticular, anterior portion nonciliated. Single equatorial girdle of about 35 µm-long cilia; longitudinal rows of short cilia posterior to this. Macronucleus cylindrical, almost completely encircling cell. One micronucleus. Movement rapid, rotating about main body axis. Size about 160 x 250 µm. Record by Leakey et al. (1994b) from the Southern Ocean uncertain.
