Microperforate, non-spinose, almost planispiral during juvenile stage, aperture equatorial. Adults low trochospiral, aperture displaced towards apertural side, small pustules scattered over test. Bulla may form in final stage. Resembles Tenuitella parkerae, but with fewer chambers, less compressed shell, with bulla, last chamber not lobulate.

Distribution: Prefers cool waters, but also occurs in tropical ones. Always scarce.
