Larval form of Chaetodipterus faber with deep body anteriorly, decreasing greatly just after anus (Hildebrand and Cable, 1938). With dermal supra-occipital crest, posterior margin of pre-opercle is serrated. Head and trunk heavily pigmented (Chaetodipterus faber).
