ANT II in male with two apical ART much shorter than half length of preceding ART. P I and II chelate (Platyscelus armatus 2), ART 5 with pointed processes. ART 2 of P VI with or without small, nearly straight, fissure (Platyscelus crustulatus 2). UR III with pointed endopodite fused with basipodite. Includes two species exceptionally large for Platyscelidae (P. ovoides and P. armatus - 20 and 16 mm, as opposed to 2-6 mm for other Platyscelidae).
