Stebbing, 1904
Body smooth (Archaeoscina steenstrupi 1). Head short and high. Eyes small. Peduncle of ANT I 3-articulated in females, 2-articulated in males (Archaeoscina steenstrupi 2). In females this ANT shorter than two first pereonites, in males equal to first three pereonites. ANT II with conical ART of flagellum in female, with rod-like ART of flagellum in males. Flagellum of ANT II not whip-like in males. P V-VII with long, strong, non-retractile dactyls.
