Diagnosis
Female with 2 pairs of oostegites.
Both rami of uropods undivided; outer margin of exopod with 1, 2 or numerous spines, without setae. Endopods of 3rd to 8th pereopods with carpopropodus divided into a few or many subjoints. Male 3rd pleopod developed and modified.
Telson with apical cleft.
Includes 8 genera, about 85 species, of which 3 genera and 12 species are known from the South Atlantic.
