Anthomedusae more or less bell-shaped; with or without slight apical process; manubrium tubular to sac-shaped, not extending beyond umbrellar margin; with or without peduncle; mouth with 4 simple or branched oral lips elongated into arms armed with terminal clusters of cnidocysts (exceptionally mouth rim simple and armed with cnidocyst ring: Kinetocodium); 4, 8, or more solitary, solid, marginal tentacles; with 4 radial canals and circular canal; gonads on manubrium, interradial, sometimes extending along proximal portions of radial canals; with or without ocelli.
