Genus Simorhynchotus

Stebbing, 1888

Body compact. Head much shorter than pereon, globular, with short, rounded rostrum in male (Simorhynchotus antennarius 1). Maxillae I and II completely absent, or (rarely) very strongly reduced. Coxae free. P I simple, P II weakly subchelate (Simorhynchotus antennarius 2). P VII with full number of ART, but distal ART combined shorter than ART 2. Fused urosomite (II+III) slightly shorter than wide, fused with telson. UR II and III with pointed endopodites fused with basipodites. UR III slightly longer than telson.
